The Wine Advocate:
The bottle of the scarce 2017 O Esteiro Espadeiro was badly corked, so they had to send me a new one, and I'm glad they did, because it was the most elegant, floral and nuanced of the reds, much better than any of the vintages I had tasted until now. This has herbal freshness, with the elegant rusticity of a Chinon. But it's also balsamic, spicy and floral in a kind of Atlantic way, with a lighter palate, medium-bodied, with fine tannins and a tasty, peppery finish.
