The bodega may be based in Valladolid, but this delicious Reserva is almost entirely sourced from old vineyards in Burgos. Marrying Tinto Fino with 4% Cabernet Sauvignon and 1% Merlot, this is very subtly wooded, showing good structure and concentration, fine tannins, dark cherry and blackberry fruit and the freshness and balance of the best 2016s. 2022-30
James Suckling:
Plenty of cherry, smoky oak and bark on the nose, following through to a full body with round, chewy tannins that are laden with some vanilla-bean highlights. Creamy and nicely textured. Drink or hold.
