Wonderfully refined and polished with compact fruit and ripe tannins. Medium body. Fine and caressing. Lovely ripe fruit, too. Lovely example of this vintage. Drink or hold.

What's the secret of this consistently impressive Gran Reserva? It's partly the talent of winemaker, Matías Calleja, but it's also the fact that the vines that supply the Tempranillo, Graciano and Mazuelo fruit are all over 70 years' old. Ripe and plush, it reflects the warm vintage but has lovely underlying balance and harmony. 2020-24
