The 2017 Monastrell is the only wine produced, a pure Monastrell from different plots on their La Tella property, which has vines that average 60 years of age on poor, rocky, limestone soils. It fermented in small open-top stainless steel vats with indigenous yeasts and matured in new French and American oak barrels, where it underwent malolactic and aged for 20 to 24 months. This is quite generously oaked, with notes of incense and cigar ash. It's toasty and smoky, with sweet spices and a full body with plenty of tannins, power and concentration. It continues in its style and is for fans of that particular style. 13,800 bottles produced. It was bottled in October 2019.
