The Wine Advocate:

There is more evolution and aromatic development in the golden colored 2019 Godello Barrica, with notes of citrus and yellow fruit, quite high ripeness (14.5% alcohol) and good acidity. They selected the grapes from higher altitude in the Paraje Valdaiga in Valtuille de Arriba and macerated the grapes for seven days, destemmed but whole, with carbonic snow. It started fermenting in stainless steel and then, after two days, was transferred to 500- and 700-liter oak barrels, where it fermented at 11 degrees Celsius for 45 days. It matured in barrique for 12 months. It's smoky, spicy and quite showy, with a round and lush palate, perhaps a little marked by the oak, which gives it a dry finish. 2,200 bottles were filled in June 2021.

James Suckling:

Baked apple, cooked lemon and spiced pear on the nose. Smoky and herbal notes, too. It’s full-bodied with a rich, oily palate. Big, intense white. Drink now.
