Chablis 1er Cru La Fourchaume 2016 de JC Bessin

The 2016 Chablis 1er Cru Fourchaume includes the old vines that are often bottled separately as La Pièce au Comte. It's a stunning young wine, bursting with aromas of white peach, lemon oil and tangerine. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, elegantly glossy and intensely concentrated, with a generous core of fruit underpinned by bright acids, concluding with a saline, lingering finish. I suspect this will be at its best in its first decade, but it's a superb wine.
