The Wine Advocate:

The 2015 Dominio de Atauta is pure Tempranillo from a myriad of small plots in the Atauta zone, fermented and matured in oak. It's a heady and ripe red with 15% alcohol and moderate acidity that manages to show poise and freshness. In fact, it's a more complete wine than the 2014 equivalent. The tannins feel finer, perhaps because they used less new oak. These wines are the opposite of wines in other zones of Ribera del Duero. In 2015 they had much lower yields, and they also had to sort a lot, so they ended up with fewer grapes, but the result was a much more elegant wine. 24,090 bottles and 900 magnums were produced in 2015. It was bottled in September 2017.

Decanter:

Now for something different. From the far east in Soria, very old vines on sandy soils over calcareous bedrock deliver a fresh intensity. Nothing baked or roasted here. Refined and penetrating, with a saline edge.
