Rhône producer Michel Chapoutier has never been to his Ribera del Duero property, but winemaker Ernesto Peña seems to be getting on just fine without him. This organically farmed Tinto Fino is all from vineyards in Sotillo, close to the winery. Floral and very lightly wooded, with wild strawberry and red cherry fruit, savoury tannins and a bright, balanced finish. Engagingly subtle. 2022-27
