Dry River Pinot Noir 2019

Aromas of sweet strawberries, spice and dried flowers, as well as some spices, such as nutmeg and cinnamon. Full-bodied with firm, creamy tannins. Juicy and extremely long. Solid and polished. Goes on for minutes. Drink or hold.

The 2019 Pinot Noir came from a lovely season with zero pressure to pick, and indeed the wine does feel effortless and fresh. There are red apple skins, pomegranate pearls, cherry and satsuma plum, pink peppercorns, a hint of Szechuan and white strawberry. The oak clenches a little through the finish, sort of putting the kibosh on the fruit, but it remains a svelte and classy wine, with a long, long draw of flavor. 12.5% alcohol, sealed under Diam.
