From vines in the northern part of Saint Joseph (60%) and Crozes Hermitage (40%), with a small part from Cornas, the 2017 IGP Collines Rhodaniennes Syrah was completely destemmed and brought up in older barrels and concrete tanks. This deep purple-hued beauty is a winner and has loads of classic Norther Rhône Syrah fruit in its peppery herbs, earth, and minerality aromas and flavors. It's concentrated, medium to full-bodied, has terrific fruit, and a great finish. As an introduction into Rhône Syrah, it doesn't get much better.
