James Suckling:
A rich, soft red with plums and chocolate, as well as spice and walnut undertones. Exotic. Full body, round tannins and a flavorful finish. Shows the depth and intensity of this chateau. Drink now or hold.
Decanter:
This has clear depth and weight to the fruit, with enjoyable pepper notes. This is an extremely accomplished, refined and elegant Goulée, with a gourmet damson and almond crunch to the fruit. Michel Reybier is now both the owner and director across the Cos d'Estournel properties following the departure of Aymeric de Gironde.

Cos significa en gascón antiguo "colina de los cantos". La propiedad estuvo siempre dispersa, hasta que a principios del siglo XIX, Louis Gaspard d'Estournel heredó 12 hectáreas y decidió elaborar su propio vino.
El paladar tiene una frescura fantástica y toneladas de energía emitidas por la fruta negra madura.
