Avaliação dos peritos

James Suckling:

Fresh raspberries, boysenberries, blueberries, pine needles, thyme, sandalwood and cloves on the nose. Medium-bodied with a very fine, precise tannin frame. Focused, compact and still so youthful. More mineral and dried-spice notes on the finish. Still tightly wound. Try after 2023.

The Wine Advocate:

The 2018 Gran Enemigo Agrelo Single Vineyard comes from a vineyard by the Catena winery, from deep clay soils irrigated only once. The vineyard tends to produce very regular wines that cushion the effects of the vintage and have moderate alcohol (this has 13.5%), good restraint and very good freshness. At Agrelo, you always get spices, clove and herbs, berries and flowers, and the élevage provides some toasted and smoky undertones. This is tasty and has very fine tannins. It's mostly Cabernet Franc, mentioned on the label, but it also contains 15% Malbec that matured in an ancient oak foudre for 15 months. 7,200 bottles were filled July 2019.

Decanter:

Smoky dark berry, cassis and blackberry aromas and a palate of dried prune and fine, polished tannins.
