The Wine Advocate:

The top-of-the-range 2014 Auma is a multi-grape blend from their higher-altitude vineyards. Carmenere (53%), Cabernet Sauvignon (25%), Malbec (13%), Cabernet Franc (6%) and Petit Verdot (3%) fermented with full clusters and indigenous yeasts in 600-liter oak barrels that were rolled and racked by gravity. The varieties matured separately for 24 months in barriques, and once blended, the wine spent nine moths in egg-shaped concrete vats. It's a more traditional Bordeaux blend, with plenty of balsamic aromas, notes of cigar ash, dark spices and ripe black fruit with an herbal twist. The palate reveals abundant, slightly dusty tannins and a touch of rusticity. 4,500 bottles were filled in November 2016. - Luis Gutiérrez.
