The Wine Advocate:

The entry-level Albillo Real white 2019 La Viña de Ayer Albillo Real is a village wine from Cebreros produced with grapes from different vineyards at some 750 meters in altitude on granite, sand and slate soils from an intense, dry vintage when the grapes were picked very early (August 7th to 10th) at 13% alcohol. The grapes were cooled down, destemmed and fermented in concrete after some skin contact and kept with lees for nine months in oak vats. It has a honeyed nose, denoting good ripeness of the grapes, and it has mellow acidity and a soft and mellow mouthfeel. It has less alcohol than the 2018 because the grapes were picked very early. I try to think of whites from Albillo Real as something similar to the whites from the Rhône, not super expressive in the nose and with volume and moderate acidity. It's creamy and subtle and should develop nicely in bottle. 10,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in January 2021.
