Laventura Viura 2014

"I also tasted the 2014 Viura, which will be released very soon. It's also an old vine, field blend of Viura with some 10% of other white grapes that fermented in 600-liter oak barrels. It's a slightly riper and gentler vintage, with integrated acidity, showing the character of the year; it fermented naturally and tries to show the character of the grape and place, keeping the wine in contact with the lees but without bâtonnage. The palate is soft and gentle, very clean and approachable, easy to drink. This is a fresh and precise Rioja white; it's only that tasted next to the 2013, you see the differences in detail. 5,000 bottles produced and filled August 2015".
