Tim Atkin:

Moradillo was one of the few areas in Ribera del Duero to escape the devastating frosts in 2017. This wine comes from one of the highest spots in Burgos at 973 metres and is the most youthful and concentrated of Legaris' three village wines. Deeply coloured and intense, with serious, grippy tannins, layers of damson and blackberry fruit, tangy acidity and wellintegrated toasty oak. 2023-32

Suckling:

Wild red cherries and blueberries with some sappy, fresh, leafy notes, as well as a graphite edge. The palate has a supple and succulent feel. Silky tannins cast a long, deep and juicy, fresh finish. Drink or hold.

Decanter:

A remarkable example of great quality at more affordable prices. This is a wine deftly made, with remarkable fruit intensity – maybe on the verge of overripeness, but still very attractive, with nice oak integration. It is intense and dense, yet very open and quite persistent. More defined by its style than by its origin, it is unmistakably Ribera. This is the type of wine that made me fall in love with Ribera
