Avaliação dos peritos

Decanter:

The Viura for this wine is picked from 85-year-old vines from a single vineyard in Sorzano, which lends the wine its name, ‘Tierroya’, referring to the area’s characteristic red soils. All of Vinos del Panorámico’s wines are fermented spontaneously, with skin maceration (in both reds and whites) and minimal addition of sulphur. SJE: A plainly oaked wine, but in this case, none the worse for that. Fresh on entry, followed by savoury notes from the oak, and then a long, intense, well integrated finish where the oak interlinks well with the fruit. Confident finish. MF: Powerful acid carries full concentration of yellow apple and Mirabelle plum fruit. Excellent balance and extract. BW: An ambitious wine with polished oak, mocha and lemon notes on the nose. Creamy, with ripe apple and pear. This would have broad appeal soak doesn’t dominate, but adds sweetness and weight to the wine. Elegant.

Tim Atkin:

2016 Vinos del Panorámico - Tierroya Genérico (13.5%) "We're not really sure," says Daniel Rodríguez Pascual when asked what's planted in this old white wine vineyard in Islallana. Fermented in old wood, which is part of the style here, it's mealy and slightly honeyed, with notes of aniseed and beeswax and tangy supporting acidity. 2029-21
