The Wine Advocate:

The 2019 Meandro do Vale Meão is a blend of 44% Touriga Nacional, 35% Touriga Franca, 15% Tinta Roriz and dollops of Tinta Barroca and Alicante Bouschet for the rest, all aged in used French oak for 14 months. It comes in at 14.1% alcohol. The little brother of the wonderful Quinta do Vale Meão Estate Tinto this report, this is a scaled-back version in most respects while keeping many echoes of what is good. The fruit profile retains beautiful concentration of fruit. The texture is still caressing, and the tannins are ripe. It is quite graceful as well. Unlike its big brother, though, this also shows off a nice price point. It can be a great house pour or restaurant wine. I don't think it has nearly the upside or grandeur of its big brother, but it is very nice for the price, and it can be drunk now. That's not to say it won't improve over the next year or two, but holding this a decade or more won't likely bring many rewards.
