As with other wines, the 2015 Peña Caballera felt riper than the 2016 version of this single vineyard Garnacha, but again, without showing any heat. It's a more Mediterranean vintage than 2016. As all the Marañones vineyards, they are farmed organically and the wine fermented with indigenous yeasts and matured in used oak to preserve the character of the place, which is always delicate and subtle. It was super expressive, an explosion of Mediterranean herbs and wild berries. The palate revealed some dusty tannins that always benefit from some more time in the bottle. The 2014 is showing quite nicely now. 1,928 bottles were filled in March 2017.

Muy rico. Vino diferente, color muy claro pero sabor elegante. Recomendable
La mejor garnacha que he probado este año, en nariz y boca se encuentran endrinas y notas de licor(anís) con fondo mineral. Magnífico.
