The Wine Advocate:

The 2019 Pueblo de Lavia mixes grapes from the different valleys in Bullas. It's different each vintage, so it's a regional red produced with Monastrell, all head-pruned and dry-farmed at 750 to 800 meters above sea level on clay, limestone, gravel and boulder soils. It fermented with 10% to 20% full clusters in stainless steel with indigenous yeasts and matured in used 500-liter French oak barrels for eight to 10 months with lees without being racked or adding sulfur. Then, it spent a last winter in stainless steel after being racked. It was blended just before bottling because each plot was kept separate until the end. It's spicy and varietal, with a touch of rusticity, a little blurry. It's medium-bodied and has some dusty tannins and a faint astringency (from the barrels?). 12,700 bottles and 215 magnums were filled in May 2021.
