The Wine Advocate:

I also tasted the just bottled 2019 Sensal village red produced with the four local grapes Monastrell, Bonicaire, Arcos and Garnacha matured in tinaja (amphora) and glass demijohns. Halfway through the harvest, there was 200 liters of rain that marked the year, and the late-ripening grapes Arcos and Monastrell were picked after the rain, so Monastrell was not used; instead, the wine has an unusually high percentage of Garnacha (50%) that was fermented with full clusters. The result is finer, more floral and marked by the limestone soils. Surprisingly enough for the adverse conditions of the year, this is lighter, brighter and sharper than the 2018 and beautifully textured with fine tannins and chalky. This transcends the vintage and is much better than any of the previous vintages. 2,000 bottles were filled in July 2020.
