The Wine Advocate:

Cropped from a dry year that resulted in an early harvest, the red blend 2017 Sentada Sobre la Bestia (the old red label) is an unusual blend of 47% Monastrell, 22% Tempranillo, 16% Garnacha Tintorera, 11% Graciano and 4% white Malvasía. Each variety fermented separately in small vats with indigenous yeasts and matured in a mixture of stainless steel and casks; after the winter they racked the wine and made the blend, which was then bottled. The warm vintage delivered a ripe wine with over 15% alcohol, but the alcohol is not noticeable. The wine is quite fruit-driven and expressive, with a juicy, round palate with good balance and acidity. The wine manages to keep the freshness in a very warm year. 12,480 bottles and some larger formats were filled in July 2018. - Luis Gutiérrez.
