The Wine Advocate:

The NV Specimen Nº2 is an unusual blend of wine from 2015, 2016 and 2017 aged in 500-liter barrels and 1,200-liter foudres. It's 83% Tempranillo (Tinto Fino) and 17% Cabernet Sauvignon that, on average, matured in oak for 36 months. Like the first edition, it feels like it's from a different winemaking era—ripe and generously oaked, with plenty of tannins, smoky and spicy flavors and a dry and astringent finish. Will the fruit survive, or will it dry out before the oak and tannins get resolved? 4,495 bottles and 100 magnums were filled in September 2019.

James Suckling:

Aromas of blackcurrants and black cherries with hints of cedar wood, chocolate, licorice, currant bush and herbs. Medium-to full-bodied with dusty, chewy tannins and a velvety mouth-feel. Balanced and textured, with savory fruit character and a lingering finish. Drink or hold.
