My favorite wine at this address is always the same, and even in the challenging 2018, the 2018 Teira X showed quite well. This is a bit of an unusual white, as Formigo takes Treixadura to the limit, letting the grapes ripen a lot more, and then balances the blend with other varieties. In 2018, it's 55% Treixadura from old vines and 15% each Loureira, Albariño and the obscure Alvilla. The result has 13.1% alcohol and very healthy acidity, 6.5 grams (in tartaric) and a pH of 3.2. So, the wine has volume and freshness, Ribeiro character and some granite texture. 4,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in July 2019.
