Avaliação dos peritos

Decanter:

This expression of Malbec is a blend of fruit from Luján de Cuyo and two vineyards in the Uco Valley, ranging from 1,070m to 1,200m above sea level. The altitude imparts a freshness to the palate, which is preceded by complex and harmonious aromatics: smoothly seductive black fruit with a floral edge and mocha hints. The layered palate has deep black fruit laced with gentle spice and leather notes, framed by fine but firm tannins. This will age: 'Good today - amazing tomorrow,' says winemaker Hervé Birnie-Scott.

The Wine Advocate:

Produced with a blend of Malbec grapes from different locations within Mendoza (Las Compuertas, Paraje Altamira and Los Chacayes), the new 2017 Grand Malbec was nice and pleasant, but as I found with the Chardonnay from this range, it lacked the complexity and depth to justify the price tag. The fruit is ripe without excess, and the oak is nicely integrated, which is an improvement over the wines from the past, but there is still a way to go before we can talk about a "grand" wine. It seems to be on the right track, though. 40,000 bottles produced.
