The Wine Advocate:

"The red that used to be sold as Crianza is now the 2008 Tilenus La Florida, a Mencía red from a single vineyard on a clay slope that names the wine planted with old head-pruned vines. The grapes fermented in open stainless steel vats and the wine aged for 14 months in French oak barrels. The nose shows a young, slow-aging wine with plenty of flower aromas, terse fruit and spicy notes, with well-integrated oak echoes. In bottle since 2011, the palate is really silky, polished, round and tasty with fully resolved tannins and ready to go. A great, aged Bierzo form one of the best recent vintages that was aged for us by the winery and sold at a very reasonable price. 20,000 bottles produced".
