Avaliação dos peritos

Tim Atkin:

This is a brilliant first release from Carlos Sánchez, combining Tempranillo with 30% Viura from an old-vine parcel at 480 metres in Labastida. Peppery, spicy and sappy, with subtle whole bunch perfume and texture, notes of blackberry and peach skin, subtle oak and a long, nuanced, refreshing finish. 2023-30.

The Wine Advocate:

The Labastida red 2021 1er Los Montes Bellos de Buradòn comes from a vineyard planted in 1975 with Tempranillo and 30% Viura in the limestone-rich paraje or lieu-dit Sauco, one of the most prestigious in the village for the quality of the tannins, freshness and floral character of its wines, which also have aging potential. The grapes were picked on October 8, late into a season of perfect and slow ripening of the grapes, and the full clusters fermented in an open-top stainless steel vat with indigenous yeasts and were foot trodden and later had an infusion without pumping over. It had a maceration of 30 days and then was pressed and put in 500- and 600-liter barrels for 10 months. 1,350 bottles were filled in October 2022.
