The young and tender 2022 Albariño is the blend of the grapes from 165 plots in the Salnés, fermented with a pied de cuve from the old vines, fermented in stainless steel and matured with lees. It has a balsamic nose with notes of grass and bay leaf, a round palate with pungent flavors and good acidity. It's clean and varietal, reflecting a warmer year. 90,000 bottles were produced.
This is only the "basic" wine from the Méndez family, but that's still a guarantee of high quality. Made with grapes from a remarkable 164 parcels in the Salnés Valley, located on five different soil types, it has intense wet stone and summer rainfall aromas, impressive zip and focus, layers of pear, lemon zest and green apple and a brisk finish. 2023-28
