Algueira Mencía Pizarra 2010

"The 2010 Algueira Pizarra is a pure Mencia vinified in exactly the same way as the previous wines. Here, there is an ebullient, pure black cherry, cranberry and blueberry jam-scented bouquet that is once again beautifully defined. The palate is medium-bodied with crunchy, almost Cabernet Franc-like, bell pepper fruit. It has a very fine structure, a sense of symmetry, with a finely poised finish that is long and lingering, hints of dried orange peel and white pepper on the aftertaste. This is the kind of wine you want to elope with".
