Mellot's 2018 Pouilly-Fumé opens with an intense and aromatic, clear and elegant bouquet of ripe pears and flintstone. Full-bodied firm and fresh on the palate, this is a highly promising Pouilly whose ripeness and richness is beautifully riposted by crunchy phenols and lingering purity and salinity. Tasted in February 2021.
