Tim Atkin:

Buradón is a world-class Garnacha from a 0.3 hectare parcel in the San Vicente cru of La Rad. You can see why the grape is sometimes called the ‘Pinot Noir of the south’ because this is very delicate and graceful. Aromas of rose petal and Turkish Delight segue into a palate that's poised, refreshing and racy, with wild strawberry and water melon flavours and a waft of whole bunch spices. Stunning stuff. 2023-30.

The Wine Advocate:

The 2021 Buradòn Las Plegarias Red has a beautiful ripe Garnacha nose with notes of red berries, wild herbs, wet chalk and spices. It was produced with the grapes from a vineyard in the paraje of La Rad in San Vicente de la Sonsierra, a plot planted in 1979 on stony limestone and clay soils. Picked on October 6, the full clusters were foot trodden and fermented in open vats with indigenous yeasts, had a 40-day maceration and an infusion without extraction. It matured with the fine lees in used 500- and 600-liter French oak barrels for 10 months, which is very much the modus operandi for most wines here. It has contained ripeness, 13.5% alcohol and some developed aromas of forest floor and cherries in liqueur. The palate is medium-bodied, with very good freshness (it has a pH of 3.45) and very fine tannins. 1,700 bottles were filled in October 2022.
