Ca N'Estruc Xarel·lo 2021

The serious and harmonious 2021 Xarel.lo comes from old vines from their own vineyards—all hand-harvested, fermented in stainless steel with indigenous yeasts and matured in stainless steel with the lees. In 2021 they harvested early, and the wine is a bit more herbal, with a bitter twist in the finish; it was going to rain, so they went ahead and picked the grapes, and the bottled wine finished with 13% alcohol. This is clean, serious and fresh, with an elegant profile. 13,500 and 300 magnums produced. It was bottled in January 2022. - Luis Gutiérrez.
