The 2019 Doisy Daëne has seriously intense notes of pineapple upside-down cake, ripe apricots and lemon marmalade with hints of acacia honey, paraffin wax, orange blossoms and preserved ginger plus a waft of marzipan. The palate is rich, unctuous and boldly decadent, featuring layer upon layer of exotic fruits and spices, finishing with that signature freshness. A powerhouse!
White pears, peaches, lemon meringue and acacia honey on the nose. Medium-bodied with succulent lemon-pie character. Sweet, yet fresh and tangy. Excellent balance. Drink now or hold.
Bright candied lemon on the nose, elderflower and real florality on the nose with a strong perfumed element to the palate too which I adore alongside a bright lemon zestiness from start to finish. Nice overall impression with clarity and a real punch of lime zest and juice on the long finish. Well made.
Este château toma su nombre de uno de sus primeros propietarios, Jacques Emmanuel Daëne. A su vez él se sirvió del nombre de los viñedos, Doisy, para componer el que aún hoy es el nombre de la bodega.
