"The 2006 Cumal is 100% Prieto Picudo sourced from the Finca Gusendos with its 90+-year-old vineyards. The wine was aged for 15 months in new French and Hungarian oak barriques and bottled without filtration. Opaque purple in color, it displays an already complex aromatic array of underbrush, brier, Asian spices, lavender, and black currant. Dense, savory, and structured on the palate along with outstanding volume and balance, it will reward another 3-4 years of cellaring and drink well through 2021 if not longer".
