The Wine Advocate:

The 2020 Cutio Garnacha Cariñena was produced with an 85/15 blend of the two grapes from different vineyards in the village of Almonacid de la Sierra, fermented destemmed in stainless steel with indigenous yeasts and matured in underground concrete vats lined with epoxy for 16 months. It has an expressive nose, with finesse and nuance (Navascués reckons from some plots that give pungent floral aromas and finesse). It's juicy and balanced, with an approachable profile, contained ripeness, 14% alcohol and a velvety palate with great balance. An earlier harvest and a softer vinification have produced a fresher wine despite the conditions of the year. 45,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in April 2022.

Tim Atkin:

Another elegant and inviting wine from Jorge Nevascués. Quite light in colour, this is a fruitforward wine – the wine only sees 4 months of French oak – combining the two star grape varieties of the region, Garnacha and Cariñena. Red pepper, violet and forest floor add a little spice and edge to the wine while the palate is juicy, full of sweet red fruit and fleshy tannins. Deliciously moreish.2024 - 2026
