Demencia 2015

Produced with grapes (mostly Mencía) from different zones around Villafranca del Bierzo, the nose of the eponymous red 2015 Demencia has the characteristic mix of dark chocolate, cloves, peat, smoke, herbs and ripe blackberries that is so characteristic and distinct at this address. The wines are not for everybody, that's for sure; they tend to be powerful and tannic and require a long time in bottle and/or powerful food. 2015 is not an exception: you need a wild boar to be washed down by this powerful juice. It was bottled in June 2018.
