The 2016 Mâcon-Bray Les Pierres Levées Rouge offers up a reserved but appealing nose of earthy red-black fruit, smoke and subtle spice. On the palate, it's medium-bodied, supple and tangy, with an ample core of succulent fruit framed by melting tannins. It's a deliciously transparent red Mâcon that's well worth seeking out.
