Tasted as a sample in April 2020, the 2019 Riesling Trocken Rotschiefer (a.k.a. Red Slate Dry) is intense and concentrated yet pure and fresh on the intensely fruity and slatey but still yeasty nose. Medium-bodied, creamy textured and charming, it is round and clear on the elegant and juicy palate, with tropical flavors. And for the moment, it is still rich yet refined and elegant, with mouthwatering salinity on the finish.
