Eidos Ermos Blanco 2018

The white 2018 Eidos Ermos Blanco was very expressive, clean and floral the day I tasted it, with the textbook Ribeiro character of a young white with echoes of wet granite. The palate is vibrant and refreshing, terribly balanced and tasty, with an almost salty finish. This is impressive for an entry level, produced with juice from younger vines and lots that, for whatever reason, don't make it into the other wines. I am impressed! If they make more of this wine in the difficult years and less of it in the better ones (because there is less "leftover" wine), then the volumes in 2018 indicate a good year. 2,500 bottles produced. It was bottled in August 2019.
