The Wine Advocate:

"The single-vineyard red Monastrell 2014 El Telar is produced with fruit from 70+-year-old vines planted on stony, white limestone soils that yield 0.5 kilos of grapes per plant. It fermented with indigenous yeasts and matured for 18 months in 500-liter French oak barrels that previously had contained white wine. It had telltale aromas of tree bark, Mediterranean herbs, dusty berries and an earthy touch. The palate showed good concentration and ripeness, a powerful Mediterranean Monastrell with classic proportions, built to last. 4,000 bottles were filled in July 2016".
