Escondite del Ardacho Veriquete 2019

A single vineyard that started in 2016, the 2019 Escondite del Ardacho Veriquete comes from 0.4 hectares of old vines between 50 and 105 years of age planted with 80% Tempranillo, 10% Garnacha and 5% each Viura and Malvasía on red sandstone and a small part of white soils where the white grapes are at close to 600 meters in altitude. It fermented with 40% full clusters in stainless steel (all the wines with indigenous yeasts) and matured in second-use 500-liter French oak barrels for nine months without racking. This is a little more austere on the nose; it's serious and reveals very good balance in the palate with good ripeness and freshness, fully developed flavors of berries and herbs and completely integrated oak. 1,767 bottles were filled in September 2020.
