Félix Callejo 2014

"The luxury cuvée 2014 Viñedos de la Familia is a classical old vine Tempranillo from Ribera del Duero, from their oldest family vineyards, which matured in brand new French oak barrels for 16 months. It's oaky, of course, but there seems to be enough fruit to overcome the élevage and should result in a classical red with a couple more years in bottle. It's powerful and ripe, not too excessive, with abundant, fine-grained tannins and good quality oak. 2,000 bottles were filled in April 2016."
