The Wine Advocate:

"The 2013 Galia is mostly old-vine Tempranillo with some 7% Garnacha from very old vineyards in different villages around the Duero River. The grapes from different soils fermented separately with indigenous yeasts and one third full clusters, except the Garnacha which was 100% full-cluster. The different lots matured separately for some 19 months, most in used 225- and 600-liter French barriques and part in egg-shaped cement vats. This is again extremely fresh, floral, almost citric, open, exuberant, elegant and harmonious with no traces of oak whatsoever. It's hard to decide between this and the 2012, and at the end of the day, they are slightly different; here it is spicier with a faint herbal touch, but finally at a very similar qualitative level. Both wines reflect very well what each vintage was, but with a common thread of the same places and grapes. This is an awesome value. 7,411 bottles were filed in July 2015".
