From a higher-altitude climat where the soils are richer in calcium, the 2017 Givry 1er Cru La Grande Berge exhibits notes of sweet red berries, peonies, orange rind and forest floor. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, with bright acids and fine tannins that assert themselves on the elegantly chalky finish. - William Kelley.
