The Wine Advocate:

Still unbottled when tasted, the white 2018 La Bastid is from a year when he started producing more white wine in general, so more than half of the volume fermented and matured in concrete, while the rest matured in 600-liter barrels and 2,000-liter oak vats; the 2017 and previous vintages were all vinified and matured in oak. He liked the result, so there will be more white in concrete in the future. He also found a new Garnacha Blanca vineyard, so the blend in 2018 has more Garnacha Blanca, perhaps 15%. It's sharp and fresh, which Rivière thinks comes from the concrete, and there's some carbonic gas that lifts it up. What I tasted was the final blend that should be bottled soon, so the bottled wine should be pretty similar to what I tasted. It is very tasty, with pungent flavors, intense and very fresh. There will be 18,000 bottles of this.
