La Celestina Vendimia Seleccionada 2019

I think the Vendimia Seleccionada reference on the label is still unclear for consumers, as in some places it represents the entry-level and in others, like in the 2019 La Celestina Vendimia Seleccionada, it's a range above the Crianza. This has a little more toast and smoke compared with the Crianza but with a similar profile and parameters—good ripeness and generous oak in a commercial and balanced way. It feels a little more tannic and backward and is slightly riper at 15% alcohol and has more volume. It spent 18 months in French oak barrels, 25% of them new. 39,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in April 2022.
