María Barúa navigated the tricky conditions of the 2017 growing season to produce a very well made Gran Reserva, combining Tempranillo with 4% Mazuelo. The mix of French and American oak is certainly on the toasty side, with a touch of dark chocolate, but there's enough backbone and dark-fruited structure to cope. 2024-30
