Avaliação dos peritos
A blend of Tempranillo and 40% Syrah, the 2015 Las Cercas was cropped from a very dry year. It went through malolactic in new barriques and matured in 300-liter French oak barrels for 12 months. The influence of Syrah is quite noticeable, with notes of smoked bacon, violets and tar. 2015 was a warm and dry vintage but with good balance, and the wines are quite powerful, in line with 2004, 2006 and 2010 in the zone. The palate is medium-bodied and lively, with a spark of acidity that gives it light and pulls it up. This is a wine that has a good track record for aging in bottle, so this should go in the direction of the 2010. 14,600 bottles and 560 magnums produced. It was bottled in August 2017.
