Laventura Garnacha 2018

The pale and delicate 2018 Laventura Garnacha shows very elegant and clean aromas of flowers and red fruit, with perfectly integrated oak giving it a spicy twist, but there's nothing oaky about it. It comes from two plots in the village of Tudelilla, where Garnacha thrives, and both vineyards are old, dry-farmed and head-pruned. The destemmed grapes fermented in concrete vats with indigenous yeasts, and the wine matured in 600-liter oak barrels for 12 months. It combines power and elegance; it's balanced; and it has a soft palate with fine, textured tannins and a long and serious finish. It has the austere profile that to me is the house's signature. 3,000 bottles were filled in August 2019.

Bryan MacRobert's fine, aromatic, well-balanced Garnacha comes from old-vine parcels at
altitude in Tudelilla. Aged in older barrels, it’s a very elegant, refined style wit considerable
finesse, good palate weight and sappy red cherry and strawberry fruit. 2021-26
