Merus.4 2005

"The 2005 Lar de Paula Merus.4 Tempranillo is the winery’s internationally styled effort. Opaque purple-colored, it was aged for 18 months in one-third new French and American oak. Aromas of toasty oak, scorched earth, mineral, blueberry and black cherry are followed by a medium to full-bodied, tightly wound, extracted wine with dense fruit, plenty of structure, spicy black fruit flavors, and a lengthy finish. It will benefit from 5-6 years of additional cellaring and will deliver prime drinking from 2014 to 2025."
